What a week in social media! Periscope is getting hot with the gurus, Facebook Live has been announced and coming to a Business Page near you in the next couple of months, Blab came out of beta testing, and Nomad decided to join the party. With all of these new social media tools to use in your business, which one should you use?

The first thing you have to think about is where do your clients hang out. If they hang out on Twitter, then consider using Periscope. If you know Facebook is the place, then be patient for Facebook Live. If it’s both, then you’ll want to use Blab or Nomad. Another thing to consider is maybe your audience isn’t into video, and that’s ok too. Whichever video streaming platform you go with, you want to make sure that you’re reaching the people you want to serve and help.

The next thing you need to think about is your social media goal. What do you want to get out of this? More visibility, more clients…what is it? Too many entrepreneurs forget why they’re on social media in the first place. There’s something that you wanted to accomplish with your social media marketing or why you decided to dedicate the time to learn all of these platforms. Once you remember the WHY, you can remember the HOW of how you’re going t reach that goal.
