Launching online is hard. I really think people underestimate how much work it is. You see so many people making thousands of dollars with just a click of a button to their email list. It doesn’t mean that it can never happen to you but everyone is so caught up in the results that they don’t stop to think about the reality of the numbers.

Think about it, there’s 2 basic models when it comes to online marketing: high volume and low price or high pice and low volume. It seems everyone is focused on the high volume and low price. The key is to think of the number of people it would take to reach your goal. For example, if your online program is $100 and you want to make $10,000, it would take 100 people to purchase your program to make that $10,000. Do you know 100 people who would buy that program from you?

The reality is this: If you have 100 people on your email list, not all of them are going to buy. Even if you had 200 people on your email list, 100 people aren’t going to buy. On average, about 1% of the people who sign up for your webinar (the one where you’re going to offer your $100 program), will purchase it. Only 1%! I know this is the industry average an many people do better than that, but that’s the reality of it. So, the next time you go to launch online, how many people will it really take? And can you afford to have your product be that low cost?
